After re-connecting the camera, the application may still not detect the camera. This problem can have several causes. In order to solve this problem, follow one or more steps below.
- In most of the cases the camera isn’t connected to the same network as the using computer or laptop. Make sure that the camera is connected to the same router as your computer or laptop. Connect the right ethernet cable to the camera and click Add my camera again. If this isn’t solving the problem, go to step 2.
- Check if there is a firewall present. To turn this firewall off, follow step 3 (Windows) or step 4 (Mac).
- Open Windows Firewall by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Security, and then clicking Windows Firewall. Click Turn Windows Firewall on or off. Administrator permission required If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
- Click on the Apple menu from your toolbar. Select System Preferences. Choose View, then select Security when the System Preferences window appears on your screen. Click on the Firewall tab. Select the Stop button to disable your firewall. "Firewall Off" will now be displayed above the button.
