The best way to mount your camera depends on your own, personal situation. In some cases you might want to get a clear overview of a large area. The higher you mount the camera, the more you will be able to see, but less detailed. If you want to get a clear view of people’s faces, wall-mounting on eye-level might be the way to go for you. If you are unsure, contact your point of sales.
Be aware that for defining the correct position it is good to know the viewing angles of the camera. The Panasonic BL-VT164W has a horizontal angle of view of 57 degrees (98 degrees with pan, tilt & zoom) and a vertical angle of view of 34 degrees (75 degrees with pan, tilt & zoom).
